Facial lacerations can leave visible and disfiguring scars leading to aesthetic and functional loss. We routinely are referred complex lacerations in visible areas due to our skillset in minimizing scarring.

Dr. Anup Patel is comfortable operating from head to toe with tremendous knowledge experience in soft-tissue reconstruction. We use various plastic surgery techniques including appropriate selection of suture and approximation of the soft-tissue to reapproximate the wound edges in a tensionless free manner to optimize cosmetic outcomes. We perform scar revisions for procedures done elsewhere routinely to reduce the scar burden.
Patient 1
32 year old sales representative and former model who struck her face against a drawer while on a meeting in Orlando, FL. She found our practice online and had repair of the eyebrow and forehead laceration within 24 hours. Her scar is imperceptible with no loss of eyebrow motion.
Patient 2
5 year old boy struck in forehead by baseball bat splitting forehead and eyebrow down to the skull. Parents requested our practice specifically to repair their child’s face. The scar is imperceptible and continues to fade.
Patient 3
42 year old male injured with chainsaw sustaining maxilla fracture and laceration of the upper lip, cheek, and teeth. We fixated the maxilla and repaired the soft-tissue structure. Patient was last seen 6 weeks afterwards and moved away from the state.

Dr. Anup Patel
Dr. Anup Patel is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon trained in aesthetic, hand/upper extremity and reconstructive surgery. He completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the premier Yale University followed by a hand and microsurgery fellowship at the New York University Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Mount Sinai Department of Orthopedics. Dr. Patel received his MD and MBA from the Yale University School of Medicine and Yale University School of Management, respectively. He graduated as the valedictorian of his class at the University of Florida majoring in economics, biochemistry and molecular genetics and valedictorian of his high-school class at Lake Highland.
